Why we exist
Our organization creates a worldwide connected community for gay and lesbian rowers, coxies, coaches, and race officials. As an individual membership organization, we don’t have any chapters or clubs. Our members participate in all aspects of the rowing community through their respective rowing clubs and associations.
Creating community
We help bring individuals together:
MY GLRF - we bring individuals together. Whether you row in a gay club, a straight boat, or have your own scull, GLRF offers a place that all of us can reach out to when we need to touch that fabric which is gay and lesbian rowing. COUNTRIES - we connect members at a local and regional level by focusing on our member’s countries, where they live and row.
COMMUNITIES - we create community through shared interest. Our tailored community pages bring rowers together from around the world:

Promotion, information and resource
We strive to contribute to the greater rowing community by:
promoting the sport in the gay and lesbian population creating tools to foster participation and competition in the sport encouraging clubs to develop an atmosphere of acceptance instead of just tolerance providing support for those facing homophobia profiling individuals who are contributing to the sport presenting news and articles of interest for our members
